Programme for 2011
We tried to come up with a mix of both practical and inspirational sessions, deliver events around the region as much as feasible, and keep the cost as low as possible for participants.
Please take the time to look through the following posts about events and let us know about any that you think you would like to attend. If an event is not offered in your area, then maybe it could be if there were enough people, so let us know if you are interested…
If people don’t participate in SLANZA / attend events, it will come to a grinding halt ! An organisation is only as lively as its membership, so please support these events, and / or identify other areas you would like to see happening, as well as letting others in your school know who might be interested. We need you to keep us going… :)
Hello there
Feel free to comment here, or to contact a SLANZA committee member if you have any suggestions for activities or events you'd like to see.
Our SLANZA Northland representative on the National Executive is Lisa Salter at Ruawai College. Our Northland Chairperson is Di Eastwood at Kerikeri High School. Our Treasurer is Kaye Neely, owner of Village Books, Waipapa and a librarian at heart. Also on the committee are Julia Smith from Kerikeri High School, Liz Christensen from Ohaeawai Primary School, and Elaine Shields from Kaikohe East School. I'm the Secretary - Jeannie Skinner from National Library, Department of Internal Affairs.
Anybody else who would like to join the committee is VERY WELCOME - we are completely informal about it all, just come along and you're in !
