We
are delighted to announce that on the last morning of Conference we have Steve
Braunias, who is sure to entertain and intrigue.
Steve
is a New Zealander and an award-winning writer who has written under a variety
of hats – as a journalist, non-fiction author, newspaper columnist, magazine
feature writer and editor, as well as a primetime television writer.
Not
only is he a writer whose career has crossed many different mediums, he is also
an author who gets you scurrying around the library, across an incredibly wide
selection of subject areas. His non-fiction topics include birdwatching;
criminal psychology; cities and towns; politics; and retail stores. His
passions are varied, but almost always come back to the places, things and
people of New Zealand.
He
writes stories with satire, opinion and comedy and has been described as “a
scavenger of social lodestone” a wonderful phrase which conjures up all kinds
of images. We are very lucky to have him speaking at Conference and can’t wait
to hear what he has to say.
